Latinos are the largest and fastest-growing minority group in the United States, yet these students lag behind 26,13 major racial and ethnic groups in higher education attainment. Improving Latino student access to higher education is in the U.S. national interest. This session will focus on examples of success in accelerating Hispanic student achievement levels and college enrollment rates while providing a national assessment. Tactics and strategies for educators working in cooperation with community-based organizations will be highlighted.
