Through a Massachusetts work investment grant, an urban collaborative of educators, business people, and social agencies support a summer and yearlong academic program for bilingual special-needs students identified as potential dropouts. Coordinated by a university education professor, the program is in its second year, with students not only graduating and working but also attending college. The program's operation and participants' success stories will be discussed through an interactive media approach with handouts and plenty of dialogue.
