Stress drives students to focus more on cutting corners than on engaging in the content of their academic courses. Students drag themselves through each day, exhausted and living in a constant state of stress. Recent studies have found that the effects of stress appear as sleep disorders, poor eating and exercise habits, an increase in anxiety and depression, and widespread cheating. This session will examine the causes of adolescent stress and steps schools can take to address and reduce it.
