Recent court cases holding schools liable for negligence highlight the importance of mitigating lawsuits against schools and reducing injury risks to students. Often, administrators see negligence risks revolving around broken equipment or school building and ground issues. However, in a study of 90 school buildings, supervision issues exceeded issues related to broken equipment or building problems. This session will highlight the study, its administrative implications, and a recommended plan of action.
