This session will focus on school preparation for responding to crisis events to help minimize disruption to the learning environment and to support students, teachers, and staff. The presenters--the director and program coordinator of the National Center for School Crisis and Bereavement--will draw on their experiences working with schools affected by national disasters and crisis events, such as the events of September 11 and the floods along the Gulf Coast.
