Grant writing can be time-consuming and frustrating, but it can also be rewarding. Through sample grant proposals and a grant-writing template, this session will introduce a 10-step process that leads you to prioritize your needs; be clear about what you want; and use data, research, models, and thorough planning to write a grant proposal. You will learn how to find the right grant, assess needs, design goals and objectives, apply scientific research, prepare a realistic budget, and develop an evaluation plan. The presenter will place special emphasis on clarifying priorities, planning strategically, and using passion and experiences to make a proposal come alive.
