In this session, the presenters will provide strategies and templates that allow K—12 educators to engage in difficult conversations regarding race, racism, and academic achievement. This session will acknowledge the need for students of color to feel respected and affirmed by their teachers in order to commit to academic success. Upon completion of this session, educators will have acquired effective, honest, and unbiased communication skills for use in the classroom.
