Productive learning communities in our diverse society require a certain level of social responsibility from its members. However, students often show up without the concepts, behaviors, and character traits that are necessary for school success. This session will explore proven strategies, practices, and discipline methods, as well as community building activities that schools can consciously use to develop critical social and emotional skills to build character and attain higher achievement.
