Family Literacy Centers are highly successful in increasing parent involvement, English fluency, and literacy skills of children and families of all ethnic groups. In this session, the presenters will share ELL Family Literacy Center models and what works with the unique needs and cultural, education, and language barriers of ELL families. Effective classroom instruction and ways to increase student academic achievement, cultural proficiency training, family involvement in the schools, and collaboration with linguistically diverse communities will be shared.
